Automated Cutting Stations

Cutting stations designed and built in-house to automate fabric feeding and cutting. They take job orders from the ERP and run on the floor.

Background

Cutting is the most labor-intensive step in fabric fulfillment. No machine on the market fit the process. So STATIONON built stations that automate feeding and cutting.

On the floor

  • The ERP dispatches cutting jobs to the machines; completions flow back into the system
  • If a machine stops, the system knows immediately
  • Improvements roll out remotely — no floor visit required

The controllers were designed in-house on ESP32.

Why it matters

One team is responsible for the machine, the firmware, the server, and the floor process. When the process changes, hardware and software change together.
